As a Data Centre Analyst you will join a 19 member team comprising of 17 Analysts and 2 Team Leads. The purpose of the position is to provide 24x7x365 support for over 3,000 servers and multiple SANs.
You will be an integral part of an extended IT operations group and will work closely with your fellow team members.
The position will also involve liaising with clients and other internal IT groups worldwide.
Here’s a summary of the work involved in this position:

· Building HP and Dell servers
· Troubleshooting alerts generated by the monitoring tools for servers and SANs
· Resolving tickets in the call tracking system within SLA
· Escalating issues that cannot be resolved per defined procedures
· Supporting the backups of over 20Tb of data residing on the SANs and servers
Core criteria:

Technical criteria:

Principal Objective of Position:

To assist in the Project implementation of various Retail projects. With the launch of its new brand, Topaz will be implementing new technologies at our forecourts around the country. We currently have numerous projects running simultaneously and require a project leader to work with our Retail IT Manager to oversee their implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
# Delivery of Retail IT projects on time, to specification and within budget.
# Regular reporting of project status to all stakeholders.
# Work with 3rd party suppliers, internal resources to ensure projects meet business requirements.
# Database administration for various applications within retail when required.

* Provide some IT support to the retail function when required.
To undertake any duties assigned by your manager which are consistent with the job holder’s expertise and skills.

Critical Competencies:

1. Education:
§ A Degree in computer applications/science or equivalent experience.
§ Prince 2 would be an advantage or other project methodologies e.g SSADM
