Description JOB SUMMARY -
To manage the sales floor to ensure the delivery of merchandise standards, commerciality, service and sales in order to help the store achieve sales and profit, and deliver a consistently excellent customer shopping experienceRESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out duty manager responsibilities as required, including opening and closing the store
Ensure the floors are commercially focused and correctly merchandised
Ensure effective interpretation of space management, visual presentation together with competitor awareness
Assist in the effective planning and execution of special events and promotions within the store
Allocate staff resources effectively across the floor to ensure the sales floor is suitably covered and ensure provision of great customer service
Ensure markdowns are completed accurately and within deadlines
Carry out the training and development of Product Specialists and Merchandise Associates, meeting succession planning requirements
Identify and manage performance issues within the Associate and Specialist team
Personally conduct performance reviews on their team
Assist in the recruitment and induction of Associates and Specialist in the store
Ensure effective communication to Associate team of company and store objectives
Ensure profit protection through delivery of security procedures and control of stock loss
Ensure team compliance with operational procedures
Ensure compliance with Heath and Safety guidelines and legal compliance, take appropriate action with non-compliance
Participate in the store’s activities as required outside of normal duties
Requirements KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Previous management experience within a fast paced retail environment, preferably within a Fashion retailer
Commercial awareness demonstrated through knowledge of key trends, brand awareness and competitor trends
Ability to analyse and interpret financial information and written guidelines
Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results
PC literate
