Description:
Breezemount are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated customer orientated individuals to service a new home delivery contract commencing July and operating from IKEA Dublin, Ballymun. Reporting to the General Manager your responsibilities will include training staff, helping to deliver an exceptional level of customer service; achieving operational efficiencies and ensuring full compliance with transport and health and safety legislation. You will possess at least two years supervisory experience in logistics distribution or retail, preferably with experience of home delivery. Banking/cash handling experience and strong PC skills will be advantageous. Weekend and evening working is required on this retail customer facing contract. Subject to a current review this position may adopt a 4 on 4 off working pattern.

Ikea Opening Delayed by Road Building

The 500 new jobs at Ikea in Dublin would be starting in February if the changes to the M50 were ready. Planning conditions for the Ikea store in Ballymun mean that it cannot open until the required changes to road layouts have been completed.  The NRA has repeatedly said it cannot open until the roadworks are finished.
An NRA say the works would not be complete until ” the second half of this year”.
So in the meantime – 500 people waiting to start work and hundreds of shoppers going to Ikea Belfast and spending money in the UK.

Salaries at Ikea Dublin

The online recruitment site for Ikea does not appear to show the salaries for the jobs in Ikea Dublin. The newspaper ads refer you to ikea.ie/dublin – which then links to the recruitment pages. On that site – the job descriptions are in MS Word format – which might not be accessible by everyone. The level of experience required is also not shown on the website – as far as I can see.

Ikea salaries are given in the latest Irish newspaper ads in the Times and Irish Independent – also there seems to be more job vacancies in the papers than are shown on the web site.

The salary for the Assistant Managers posts are €76k to €102k Euro.
