Primary Job Responsibilities
The Fraud Investigations Team Analyst will provide support to eBay Inc. efforts to foster relationships with law enforcement and will participate in the collection and dissemination of evidence of crimes against eBay Inc. and its customers to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The candidate will report directly to a Team Supervisor.
The Analyst will be responsible for:
* Quality document production while ensuring proper service levels and response time for law enforcement requests and other legal processes as directed
* Follow-up contact with law enforcement on investigations and cases as directed by the FIT Supervisor
* Assisting in best practice sharing and procedures for global law enforcement investigations
* Assist with responding to hotline calls as needed
* Help with intake of LE requests/subpoenas as needed
Job Requirements
* One or more years of experience in fraud investigations with a background in high tech crime preferred.
* The FIT Analyst should have a strong working knowledge of both eBay and PayPal, with experience in both buying and selling and a strong belief in making the Internet a safe, viable means of commerce.
* Candidate should bring a high level of enthusiasm to the projects or investigations assigned.
* They should be able to effectively communicate to groups at all levels. More specifically, the candidate should be able to explain the eBay/PayPal platform in laymen’s terms as well as handle more complex inquiries by high technology crime investigators.
* Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Self-driven, motivated to excel, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Positive inter-team communication and interaction.
* Current PayPal admin access or ability to pass PayPal background check
* Some overnight travel required, often on short notice.
