ESB Networks is responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of the Electrical Transmission/Distribution Systems and Electrical Installations and is now seeking applicants for Electrical Apprenticeships. Significant opportunities will arise for a number of successful applicants to also pursue an engineering degree. Training will commence in Autumn 2010. Requirements

Experience Required: No Experience Required

Candidates must be 16 years of age on or before 1st June 2010

Education:

JUNIOR CERTIFICATE – You must have a grade C or higher at Ordinary Level in the following subjects – Mathematics, English or Irish, Science* & any two other subjects. (Grade D or higher on higher level papers is acceptable).

*If you have not obtained the required grade in Science, then Art, Art Craft and Design, Craft, Design, Home Economics, Materials Technology (Woodwork), Metalwork, Technical Graphics or Technology are acceptable.

OR LEAVING CERTIFICATE – You must have a grade D or higher at ordinary level in Mathematics, English or Irish, Science* & any two other subjects.
*The following subjects are acceptable as Science subjects – Agricultural Science, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Construction Studies, Design & Communication Graphics, Engineering, Home Economics, Physics, Physics & Chemistry, Technical Drawing or Technology.
