Web Application Development – Home Based Possible
We’re looking for developers! : echolibre.com
The Job : Good ol’ web development with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and of course JavaScript with jQuery, working in a (mostly) distributed team environment.
This is a short term contract of 3 to 4 months, but if you like us, and we like you, there’ll be a permanent space for you on our team.
The Reward : Think of a number between 1 and a gazillion, triple it, add 69, divide by the year of your birth and add the cubed root of the number you originally thought of.
OK, just tell us your rate and we’ll take it from there. Oh – the envy of your peers is also up for grabs.
You : A mid-level, well rounded PHP web developer, with three or more years of experience. That means that you’re just as happy with markup and JavaScript as you are with PHP and MySQL.
Delays happen but generally you should have no problem staying on top of things.
You’re currently a freelancer or thinking about becoming one (now’s your chance).
You should be passionate about coding and web technologies in general – we’re not into working with people who have never coded something for fun.
We don’t care what your preferred dev platform or IDE is, whatever makes you happy – just so long as you’re comfortable with command line Linux and MySQL on the server side.
Exposure to version control systems and developing in a collaborative environment is a must.
If you have a qualification great. If not, that’s fine. Experience and problem solving ability counts for a lot in our book.
Ideally you’re located in Dublin but if not, it’s not a problem. Telecommuting from other parts of Ireland, Europe or North America is fine.
Online collaboration tools like Skype and Basecamp are preferred communication channels for project work.
If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. Responses with code samples will get our attention faster, as will any involvement you may have in open source projects.
Us: We’re a young company, founded in 2008 by Eamon Leonard, David Coallier and J.D FitzGerald. Our strengths are in systems design & architecture and project management.
Things are moving fast for us right now, and we’re happy to say that we’re taking on a lot of work, as well as self-funding our own projects.
Because of this, we want to grow our team by four or five people in the near future.
