IT System Administrator required by Digiweb
Job Purpose: Maintain IT systems and operations in multi-site environment, conforming to industry best practices.Duties & Responsibilities:
• Management of Servers, Active Directory on Windows 2000/2003, etc.
• Management of Microsoft Exchange (2003).
• Management of upgrades, security patches, (WU, Antivirus, etc.)
• Maintenance & verification of Backups.
• Maintain PCs, Printers, Telecom assets, consumables, etc. including planning, ordering & provisioning.
• Perform frequent analysis of systems/server logs for abnormalities.
• Technical assistance to all departments in the company (helpdesk).
• Maintain & update the company Phone/IVR/ACD Queue system (AVAYA).
• Maintain & update policies, procedures and document environment configurations, disaster recovery procedures, etc.
• Occasional travel and out-of-hours work may be required.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
IT qualification
3+ year’s experience with majority of the following;
• Proven ability in server hardware builds and support, AD Windows 2000/2003.
• Microsoft Exchange Messaging.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Troubleshooting and problem resolution in a networking/windows environment.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
• Understanding of Raid levels, benefits, configurations.
• Experience of PBX, ISDN, VOIP and TDM technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of PC hardware, software and peripherals.
• Sound understanding of networks and their infrastructure.
• Some Knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
• Knowledge of MS SQL server, MySQL systems advantageous.
• NT backups or similar.
• Familiarity with Dell desktop/laptops/servers and printers.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work around issues and be creative as regards problem solving.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
• Must be dependable & flexible with strong self-motivation work ethic.
• Good documentation skills.
