Facebook are looking for an eCrime Analyst : this position will be ideal for someone with an Information Security, System Administration or Applied Research background and most importantly, a passion for criminology, cybercrime history, and problem solving. Conducting targeted research into criminal actors and groups who are impacting Facebook, its subsidiaries and related customers
Designing, developing and improving on new and existing technical products used to facilitate research
Managing multiple research projects at once while effectively prioritizing time based on company priorities
Performing sensitive security investigations while maintaining high levels of confidentiality
Fully documenting all investigative research for consumption by other team members, management and law enforcement
Working very closely with the rest of the Technical Investigations staff, Law Enforcement, and other teams within the company
Passionate about the subject of organized crime and criminology on the Internet
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree
Total of 2+ years experience in Information Security, Systems Administration, Product Development, Applied Research or Investigations
Comfortable working in a UNIX environment (administration skills a plus)
Very comfortable in either Perl or Python development
Experience with SQL (administration skills a plus)
Strong understanding of how the Internet works with an emphasis on the domain name space, address resolution, registration and routing
Working knowledge of a variety of Internet Research tools
Understanding of encryption software and other tools used to protect sensitive data
Ability to interpret information from multiple sources and work with large data sets
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to technical or non-technical audiences
Experience working in a professional environment
Strong time management and organizational skills
Willingness to work demanding, inconsistent hours
Ability to work in stressful situations with a sense of urgency

Demonstrable experience with the following technologies: LAN/WAN network design, Cisco unity, Blackberry, iPhone, MS Exchange 2010, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, AD, Enterprise Anti-Virus Administration, Systems Management and Security Policies
Experience in deploying and supporting cell phones, phone systems, video conference equipment and various wireless devices
