The National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) was established by legislation in November 2009. It operates under the aegis of the NTMA.
Capita Asset Services (“Capita”) was appointed by the Agency as “Master Servicer” in March 2010. In accordance with its contract, Capita provides the Agency with financial information on the Agency’s acquired loans, based on data provided to it by the five Participating Institutions.
The NTMA Finance Directorate has established a specialist NAMA Finance Unit to support the development of NAMA.
The NAMA Finance Unit is responsible in conjunction with NAMA’s Master Servicer for financial reporting and accounting in respect of NAMA and its related Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
The NAMA Finance Unit is also responsible for the development and analysis of management information. Such information includes information provided to the Minister for Finance, the NAMA Board, the CEO of NAMA, the senior executive team in NAMA.
NAMA are seeking to appoint a Management Reporting Accountant to join the specialist management reporting team for NAMA on a 6 month fixed term contract.
The ideal candidate will :
* Be a qualified or partly qualified accountant
* Have a background in financial services, gained through a professional auditing firm, or a through an accounting role in a financial services organisation. Experience of banking and commercial lending, would be advantageous.
* Have experience in the development of management information, budgeting and performance analysis.
* Have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
* Have initiative and good organisational skills.
* Have the ability to adapt to the position quickly and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
* Have excellent computer skills and competency in office applications (MS Office, Excel)
* Have experience of data warehouses and business intelligence reporting tools.
* Have experience in systems implementations, including definition and specification of business requirements and specification of systems changes and user acceptance testing.

NAMA Internal Auditor Job
NAMA are recriting an Internal Auditor
Role
The role is to assist the Head of Control in the undertaking of internal audit responsibilities across all NTMA business functions.
Key Duties & responsibilities
These include;
1. To provide an independent evaluation of, and opinion on, the various products, processes, systems and controls within the organisation as assigned and detail any required remedial action where weaknesses are identified.
2. To contribute on an ongoing basis to the organisation by promoting a control conscious environment, advising on changes in procedures, systems and controls and undertaking related tasks.
3. To evaluate the audit programmes for existing businesses
4. To develop audit programmes for any new business or processes.
5. To complete assigned Audit reviews as per the Internal Audit Plan in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
6. To liaise with the external auditor (Comptroller & Auditor General)
There are currently 5 distinct businesses within the remit of the NTMA.
1. National Debt
2. National Pensions Reserve Fund
3. State Claims Agency
4. National Development Finance Agency
5. National Asset Management Agency
Audit committees (consisting of non executive Directors and other external members) have been established to oversee the internal controls and other operational issues relevant to these businesses and the Head of Control and his team are required to review and report on matters as determined by these Committees.
Reporting Line
The appointee will be a member of a five person team and along with the existing team members will report to the Head of Control who reports directly to the Chief Executive and, as indicated above, to the Audit Committees.
Person Specification
The job holder is likely to be a qualified accountant with experience of auditing, ideally in complex financial organisations.
Skills and Competences
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, self-starter, highly motivated and capable of working on own initiative. He/She will have good communication (written and oral) skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ideally, he/she will have some exposure to either banking, funds, corporate finance or claims/insurance business.

The Role
Production support and maintenance of Oracle databases, some of business critical importance. Planning and implementation of new application databases as appropriate. The role is to support various Oracle databases within the bank. The operating systems that the databases run on are HPUX, AIX and Solaris, and the current Oracle standards are versions 8i and 9i.
These roles are temporary positions, typically 12 to 24 months and successful candidates will be primarily based in AIB Donnybrook House, Donnybrook, Dublin 4.
The job functions include:
Technical support for Oracle database issues
Installation and upgrading Oracle executables / databases
Tuning and maintenance of databases to achieve SLA’s
Migration and Upgrading Oracle Databases .
Ensuring appropriate backup and recovery procedures for databases in place, and testing thereof
Assisting Business Units with appropriate data loading / unloading
Assisting 3rd party consultants developing Oracle systems as appropriate
The Person
You will be a successful professional with over 4 years relevant experience. Your key skills will include :-
4 years plus Oracle 8i and 9i DBA. Knowledge of Oracle 10G not a requirement but advantageous.
Database tuning.
Database architectural design (creation, capacity planning, i/o planning, etc).
Backup and Recovery skills.
Good SQL and preferably PL/SQL skills.
Unix ? HPUX, AIX or Solaris basic administration.
Unix shell scripting.
Ability to work with many different sizes and natures of databases, and suggest appropriate.
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent – candidates with sufficient commercial experience will also be considered.
Preference for candidates with OCP qualification

Accountabilities
